The Preserve At Chocorua in Tamworth, NH Wedding, Wendy + Steven

"I see the way you love my sister, the way you comfort her, the way you goof around with her, the way you take care of her, and the way you cherish her. There is comfort in knowing that she will be in the best hands for the rest of her life."

You know what true love is? You and your partner buying the same card for each other on your wedding day! At least that's how I feel after the adorable Wendy and Steven did exactly that on their big day.

In December 2012 these two met at the Santa Speedo run in downtown Boston.  If you're wondering, it is exactly what it sounds like. Scantily clad people gather together in Christmas themed attire and run in the freezing cold weather. Steve was a spectator and Wendy, being an avid runner, was a participant. After the run was over they wound up at the same bar with a group of mutual friends.

His opening line was that he liked her little elf hat, and she loves hats so that swept her off her feet. Oh wait, he actually did sweep her off her feet! In the excitement in meeting, they decided to take their first picture together, and he swooped her down into a dip.

After growing together as a couple Steve knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Wendy. So in the midst of buying a house, he decided to propose. They got engaged one evening after work in their Dorchester neighborhood. He took her for a walk at their favorite park and sat her down on a bench to watch the sunset. As the sun lit up the sky he asked her to be his forever.

Their dream fall New England wedding took place at The Preserve at Chocorua in Tamworth NH and St. Charles Borromeo in Meredith NH. Their first look happened on the bridge at Lake Chocorua on a perfectly cloudy afternoon (seriously without the cloud cover the reflection on the water would not have been that spectacular). Wendy looked stunning in her champagne colored sweetheart dress, and Steve was handsome in his blue suit and pink tie. What do you think they whispered to each other on that bridge during the first look? Watch their video to see!

The reception went down inside the old barn at The Preserve at Chocorua, which has since sadly burned down. However they are reopening this year with a new state of the art barn! Wendy is obsessed with 80's music and so found an all 80's cover band called Fast Times. I never would have such a niche band could exist but they do, and oh boy were they awesome! Shout out to the glow sticks and Wendy's light up shows for adding to the ambiance.

What a day to remember, and a love to  cherish! Thank you to Anastasia Borisyuk for being a lovely shooting partner and a talented photographer! And of course the amazing Kristen Mills Events for pulling us all together and on-time.

Love that rustic look and old-timey feel? Check out a wedding we filmed at the Larz Anderson Auto Museum.
