Lake of Isles CT Wedding in Spring, Stephanie + Steven

"The real life Cory and Topanga from Boy Meets World."

Stephanie and Steven have been together since high school, but what's interesting is they do not strictly refer to themselves as high school sweethearts. Instead, they reminisce on the notion that they grew up together; moving from high school to college to working world sweethearts.

Their wedding day was a beautiful refliction of their growth together, and a promise to continue that commitment to each other.

We started out the day following Steve to the golf course for a round with his buddies and the dads of the day. Then we caught up with Stephanie and the girls getting ready, and practicing a little dance moves for later that night.

They chose to exchange handwritten letters before the ceremony and Steven wrote one of the sweetest cards I have ever heard. Lucky for you and them, it can be heard in their video!

 The catholic ceremony took place at the gorgeous St. Patrick's in North Stonington. Its a large, classic old-world style church, that yet somehow manages to feel comfortable and inviting.

Steven had some real crocodile tears as he saw his wife to be coming down the aisle.

After the full mass, they walked down the aisle as husband and wife for the first time! Lucky for us, the gates to their high school football field were unlocked so we recreated a little bit of young love magic on the grass where Steve was a football player when they started dating all those years ago.

Lastly we made it to Lake of Isles to party the night away in style 💃

There is always one moment on the dance floor that stands out, and for sure this one was grandma partying in her wheelchair with everyone else.
